The decoder discussed
in this article
sits between the output
of a weather-satellite
receiver and a free
RS232 port on your
computer. Featuring a
phase-locked loop
(PLL), extensive filtering
and a microcontroller
for time-critical
functions, it will faithfully
translate demodulated
audio signals
into a serial datastream
that can be
processed by many of
the popular wefax
image processing
programs like JVFAX.
